I remember the first time I met Uncle Paul as a kid it was a Sunday morning and my dad was rushing us to get to into the car to go to church and from the gate I heard someone calling my father’s name and it was Uncle Paul and they were both happy to see themselves, hugging and jumping on each other. Uncle Paul had a way of lighting up a room and was a very strong character, very down to earth and extremely proud of his African heritage.
Uncle Paul was always very interested and involved in our lives and our well being, he would always call to check in to know what we were up to and know our next plans and would always want to carry everyone along.
I can remember when I came to the UK during Covid, two days before my flight my mum’s cousin had cancelled last minute and I needed to have a place to isolate for 14 days before I could move into my house share. Divine suggested we call Uncle Paul, my dad did and told him the situation and he was fine with it, even with his health condition and he was at higher risk to be affected by covid but he came to the airport to get me and he even suggested that I stay the entire month as it was December, for the Christmas break and also drove and dropped me off at Uni. Uncle Paul was a power house, regardless of the pain he suffered for years, he would always be there to show his support
Uncle Paul will forever hold a place in our hearts, and in our thoughts and will be missed greatly. Keep Resting peacefully Uncle Paul.
